Thread: Wired HUD Indicator

    I see the Wired Hud Indicator, and I know a little about what it does, but are there any practical or fun uses for it? I don't know how to work it yet, but I'm hoping to be able to toy with it later. If you have an example, could you post a picture or something, just so I can get the gist of their usefulness. Thanks.

    there are, like in space build, where you are in a fighter and need the best visibility posible, but you must also monitor your ammo and resources, I've been using it sence it was fixed, its also good for cars, in that you can set it up using the semi circle hud icon and have a speedo where ever you want on your screen, sorry for lack of screenies, but all my screenies are in the higest res posible, and even if I did decrease the size, they would still be too big for photo bucket

    Okay, I played with it a while. Well, once and then I got a tremendous string of errors relating to how the game was planning to draw the interface on my HUD when I got into the seat. How do I fix this?

    I think it got fixed (I think), so if it spews error messages, update your SVN. As for the uses I like it for showing the status of alarms, resources, routing errors, stuff that I want to see right away if something goes wrong

    Can someone please explain exactly how we get it to work the way we want it to? What format of numbers do we put in? Some kind of tutorial would be nice.

    If you could make a tutorial, that would be awesome. I have an idea. You take a target finder and a gps and the thing that you hook up to the target finder (I forgot what it is called.) then you have the gps attached to your vehicle, and the target finder (range=infinity, no max targets) outputs the x and y coordinates of all the other players, you could have a minimap for your vehicle. or just for you. if it works that way.

    OK. (This is only in the stool menu)
    1. the A and B value's are the max and min values. (A min B max)
    2. model and the colors are fairly obvious.
    3. Next the hud bit.
    a. the checkbox that says Display In My Hud makes this constantly appear in your hud.
    b. The name bit tells you what name will be displayed on the control.
    C. Control Types
    i. Basic is just on off box.
    ii. Gradient is the same as basic but changes through a gradient (ie not on or off but analogue)
    iii. Percent bar is a bar that fills up depending on the amount (good for resource amounts)
    iv. 1/2 circle and full circle are similar to speedos with a 1/2 or full circle and a line that moves around it from left to right.
    D. X,Y valuse are where the whole hud (not just this control) is drawn. (controls stack downwards.)

    Also for reference you can link huds to vehicles to show only when in a vehicle.
    also as for inputs A is the current values (no relation to A in the stool menu)
    and hidehud well hides the hud
