    Thumbs down

Hello, I am currently working on a trebuchet.

I want to make the ball that i am throwing go as far and as fast as I can get it possible.

I need help with a way to make it so that when the swinging arm reaches a certain point, the weld latch breaks and then doesn't go back on. For example, when something goes through a ranger and doesn't stop on it, the weld latch will go back on immediately.

I don't want to think right now, so thats why I am asking how to do it.
92% of teens have moved onto rap. If you are part of the 8% that still listen to real music, copy and paste this into your signature.

98% of teens smoke, or have smoked before in their life. If you are part of the 2% that hasn't/doesn't, copy this into your signature.

Maybe put ranger on main beam and release when angle crosses 45*

Ranger, weld latch, and some chips= . Just use some chips to make the weld latch deactivate when it passes a certain point.

You could use an edge triggered toggle to trigger when something goes through the ranger. It'll stay on the same value until it is triggered again.

Or you could just use a short grabber as that can only grab in the beam from it so it will probably not be able to reactivate in time. Also it can grab anything so you don't have to remake a weld latch every time you load the trebuchet.

Hmm, how about a ranger and link that to the weld latch. Then rig a button to the latch that turns off the ranger causing the weld latch to let go. The weld latch will only activate when the beam is in the path of the ranger and when the ranger is on. You can also use a simple plate to block the ranger.
