Help with text screens?

So I just upgraded to SVN wire and i've been enjoying how much more godly everything is... but what's the deal with text screens? I can't seem to get them to work. Is there something i'm missing here?

it confused me a little too

the input for clk (clock) is the rate at which the inputs are changed
the input for text (i think) handles which value is displayed, plus one
