I have SVN, and thats the main reason why the the wire screen download doesn't work for me either.
I use them ontopp of my svn (just copy paste them into wire

Those two have never worked for me. No matter how many times I update my SVN. I just guess that they only work if you have Counter-Strike installed, but I'm probably wrong.
I'll try reinstalling the screen thing but last time I did SVN stopped working.

Uhm, your right, they only work if you have CSS.
