    Ooookay. How do you make holograms essentially never fade I tried setting the fade rate to 0, I've tried setting it to 0.001, I've tried setting it to -1000, I've tried setting it to 10000 (just thought I'd try >.>) soooo how to fix

    You cannot make holograms permanent. It was disabled. The faderate is clamped to a min of 10 atm.

    So I noticed, changing lua is fun though You could just clamp it to say 0.01, giving people the functionality they need while not making them permanent.

    I also seem to be having this problem, have the latest svn release and no matter what I set the faderate to it never lasts more than a few seconds. 1, 10, 100, 1000 and negative values makes no difference it seems well except for higher numbers making it last even less time.

    Sadly, it was clamped.
    Many aspects of Garry's Mod are hardly the pinnical of realisim.

    I removed fade limit in singleplayer (well, it's clamped to 0.1). Feel free to lag yourself.
    For multiplayer: nothing changed, same 10 faderate limit

    Hi, first time on forums. I have this same problem, I had wire before and can see holography stuff fine, but what happens with the faderate is the dots only last for about 1 second. Not even 1/4 of a rotation. No matter the faderate, 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10, 20 30 40 etc it's still the same. The only difference is, 100000 disapears even faster, and 1 only lasts for barely a second.

    Here's the problem. Other people can see the faderate lasting properly for nice objects that I make. But I can't see it past a second. I thought maybe graphics was an issue but I just made everything maxed out. No change. Anyone help?

    set faderate to something tiny. faderate says how many times a second an I clearing it. so if you say faderate 1000 then 1000 times a second it's clearing. set it to .1 and now it fades every 10 seconds. you cannot make it permanent. what you can do instead is have it overwrite the lines previous so it will essentially stay forever as long as you keep it running

    Ok I found the problem like a short while after posting but forgot to reply. To anyone having this problem (I only saw 1 person) It's really silly actually xD. Just when making the holo emitter theres a faderate option which is defaulted to min faderate 100. Just make that down to 1. Sorry for the dumbness
