    Sounds like fun
Don't mind reading if you're not interested

-You small amount of money each round end
-You get payment to kill others teams players
-You get high payment to destroy their main house, stone/crystal, contraption w/e
-Defenders and attackers get equal payments, but it is possible to make it so: if Defenders get high payment for this, then Attackers get high payment for that.
-Defenders can have higher health bar, but lower attack
-Attackers can have higher attack and lower health
-When having problems with money, you can go to a mine field, mine some charcoal, iron, steel w/e with more skills and deliver it to a place and get money?
-Or gather different objects on the map

First of all, rounds wouldn't work, at least not rounds as in css. But there should be a money per kill.

The difference in health and attack power would be to complex, we need to keep it simple. The same goes for the mine field. If you're out of money, switch to the fighting class and try to kill people/do the mission. That way you can play as a fighter until you have enough money, build something that contributes to the common goal --> PROFIT!!

As far as I know, a single E2 with all the entity discovery and applyforce functions could basically make a huge spherical field around itself in which every prop would just spazz or fly around. So this means the E2 should be somehow limited in its power or just blocked from use.

Also I suppose wired turrets could have locked settings with set dispersion and delay values. Everything's range should be limited(target finder, ranger, grabber, forcer etc). As mentioned, props' weights should have a limit. If you ask me, a war gamemode like this would work best without turrets whatsoever. Projectile based weaponry would be better in many ways, for example it'd make simple things such as hitting your enemy much harder as rockets etc could be shot down or even deflected by shields. Explosives also have to be limited.

Each prop could be assigned a "spawn value"(based on size and/or health) and each team is given some amount of initial points to use. This would lead to teams having to actually think and balance between using big props as shields and using smaller props as the basis of weaponry and mobile contraptions. Gates should be free but as mentioned, wires shouldn't stretch(nor contract) nearly at all and should have limited lenghts. Due to this, communication would have to be done through radios, preferably even Radio Systems(or whatever the more complicated radio mod was called) which should present enough challenge.

Stack, The E2's applyForce stuff only works on props owned by the owner of the expression.

When thinking about it, i dont think CPU, GPU and E2 should be a part of the gamemode, if they would, the whole battle would depend on how much skills your teammates got with the chips.

donkan, but doesn't it already depend on how good peoples skill are at wire?

Tomb you're right, E2 is just the same as regular chips, except for entity() and method stuff. And E2 is much faster to use and build with compared to regular gates, that's why I vote for having E2 enabled.

Very nice ideas Stack, you're thinking in the right direction!

I would be happy to give this game-mode ago, sorry for reviving a 4 month dead topic.

I was playing on this one server, where certain functions in E2 were removed from their wiremod update or just blocked. I am sure that removing functions from the E2 code would be quite easy to do and the only drawback is it being tedious...

If anybody has a server/vps we can host a server off, please contact me so that we can test it, until then its LAN for testing :P

Yeah don't let this thread die. I'd be willing to help with this. Though I don't know any Lua or mapping, learning would give me something to do over the summer. We just need a fearless leader.

:P I was going to map + script, but if you want to map, feel free, I can send you some nice mapping tutorials and tell you how to set up your source sdk to work with garrysmod
