Tomb, you stole my idea from my head :P
Hmm, or if possible charge expressions and CPU's by the line.

again, what about people(like me) who use if() some people can just do a long line of calculations to get the same effect as 2 or 3 if statements, andthen what if people like doing
if(Hello){
Thing1 = 1
Thing2 = 2
Thing3 = 3
}
else{
Thing1 = 2
Thing2 = 3
Thing4 = 1
}

Once again you are discriminating people for their style and it's not fair on people who are able to rite advanced code to have to pay more than some one who can do the same ting with gates. you should jsut have a Set price so as not to put people who are smart enough to combine 20 gates into one, because if it turned out that 20 gates were cheaper than an e2 chip with the functionality of 20 gates, you make it fair on those ho can code.
Yes but plox if you set a fixed price on an e-gate2 then you can get an advanced coder who writes a 200 line chip creating 10 auto sniper turrets by copy pasting code.

Yea, or maybe price per input/output
I always thought people sort of did this anyway.
Things also needed to be weighted realistically, so that you couldn't do something like put a giant tank gun on a small ballsocket turret and have it destroy everything super easy.
No money, that would just be annoying. Lets just have appropriate limits and restrictions.
Like I said, think of as Team Fortress 2, The turrets are dead accurate (it sees you your pretty much dead), but if you peak around the corner real fast and shoot a rocket at it or stand out of range of it and shoot it with a rifle you'll live. In other words... limit the target finder range. People who can't use wire that well can use another class with different perks. They can have perks like EMP grenades or temp invisibility to target-finders.
Indeed it is. I have no experience in Lua scripting, nor mods and addon creations, so I'm out as lead developer. But, if someone was willing to start this project I would gladly contribute with ideas and how the game mode should work.
