    Default Right click functionality (egate2)

I'm not really sure if this belongs here or the help and support page, but I was wondering if egate2 could implement the same sort of right click that the egate 1 had. What I mean is - if you right click on an existing expression (of say a total of at least 2 expressions), it loads up the last expression edited, where if you did the same in egate1, it loaded THAT EXPRESSION. I find, when working with egate2, I have to bundle everything in one expression so I don't have to save/load the egate before i mess with another one. If that makes sense... if not I'll try and elaborate.

Also, this may be a bug or something, but whenever I try and save an expression, it insists on asking me for the save name, instead of remembering what it was already saved to. It's just really annoying.

Right-click on a gate should already load the expression from that gate, just like E1.
Right-click on anything else and it will open the editor again, with whatever was in it.

Or so it should be, doesn't that work?

As for saving, are you using the save icon or CTRL-S?

Hmmm... I'm 90% sure it doesn't do as you say, but I suppose I should try it again just in case.

Most of the time I use ctrl-s - but don't they both do the same thing? Again, I'll try the save icon

    UPDATE:
I am now 100% sure that my version, at least, does not load the expression you are pointing at when you right click - it loads the last expression you edited.

Also, both the save icon and ctrl-s ask me for a save file name.

    :-(

You have to aim at a gate present in the level, the right-click does indeed open it and not the last one written I AM 100% SURE. I do it all the time. Make sure you aren't confusing left-click with right click

Also, if you want to save to a file that already exists go to the list of files (on the left, you may have to open the tab if it is closed) and right click on the one you want and choose SAVE TO.

My version must be broken or something.... Because *I* am 100% sure it only opens the latest egate edited. :-(

And I forgot about saving that way

You updated your svn recently?
I've been doing this right-click edit since revision... hmmm... 730ish?

Try wiping the wire folder and redownloading from the svn. Or try and do a cleanup and then redownload.

Also, make sure you don't have the old E2-SVN in your addons, it has been moved into the Wire-SVN since quite some time ago, but it will override the Wire-SVN one if present.

I did clean-up and then updated to revision 873, I believe. Didn't work I will try looking to make sure I have the right E2 SVN folder like you suggested.

And no, I am only trying to load my own. Hell, I rarely even go onto multiplayer servers... Waaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyy toooooooooo laaa-aaaa-aaaa-aaa-aaaa-ggggy.

EDIT: Ok so I had a folder called "expression2" in my addons, so I deleted it. I loaded gmod and had "Expression 2" instead of "Expression Gate 2" or something like that, so I thought I had fixed it. Problem is, the texture previews pink/black squares and when I try and place a gate, its a big 'ole ERROR model and I get an error in the upper right saying something about a problem with wirelib.

Note, that you should NOT have an E2-SVN folder, E2 is in the wiremod-SVN, so all you need is regular wiremod.
