That's because wire executes values every 50 milliseconds (or is it 20?). So, if you move at a high speed, while a ranger is tracking you, it might execute before you hit the ranger, and right after you hit the ranger.
I like these ideas and would like to see them implemented
I do not like these ideas for the most part and i will tell why
I'm neutral on these ideas and work for the Facepunch Grammar Nazis
I would like to see a more accurate ranger that wouldn't skip values when subjected to high spinning speeds. I tried making a lidar but over 50 units/sec in spin, the ranger would skip values wildly.
Also maybe putting a wider angle limit on the rangers to allow more than 90 degrees on its X and Y. To clarify, I mean widening the angles from -1 to 1 to something higher like -3 to 3.
Rangers with high-speed (not hispeed) mode enabled should output 40 values per second, and you simply can't read them faster.
We need rangers with hi-speed links![]()
No, I mean preicsely high-speed, cause precision is same, everything is same, except they read values 4 times faster.
Then if the faster reading intervals can't be fixed them maybe just then the increased angle limit.
