Default more true to life Wired Servo (it's not what you think)

Isn't it possible to somehow impliment the motor tool to be really strong no matter what weight is applied? and also make it weld latch on it's own? (lock the axis from movement when no input is given)

The problems i've had with trying to make a servo out of wire motors and weld latches is that let's say the motor is between two 1x1 PHX plates, and i attach a 2x4PHX plate to the "servo"

well i can overcome the weight and make the 2x4 spin around with the servo, but in order to do that i need really REALLY high values on the motor, and this reduces a lot of the accuracy that you would come to expect from a real servo.

I'm sorry if none of this makes sense... it's hard to put in to words.

Adjust weight on both props, I think

yes but this makes it really hard for use on contraptions... even with gravity disabled, it's a lot of inertia to move... (real life servos have strength for almost twenty times their weight)

Try the wheel instead of motor, that way it's just a question of increasing the weight of the wheel as appropriate.

In those cases it's better to explain with diagrams and/or animations. I'm gonna face-lift all my complex suggestions this way.

I may have stumbled upon a method for creating a different type of servo altogether... I'll collect my thoughts better and get back to you... I have another ... "interesting" project I've been working on
