make a wired magnet that has a force, strengh, distice it reacts at, and on/off varibles that would be so cool.

This is totally impossible to do with the current engine.

I saw something like this, it's the blackhole mod (randomly found while surfin' garrysmod.org). No, it's not impossible. It's just like a forced magnet, but once it gets to the center, (just like a blackhole) it get sucked in, deletes, then the blackhole now has more force. I'm pretty sure you can just rip out some code from it, with permission of course. It has it's own gravitational pull, it's really neat.

Shouldn't be impossible. It could act just like a forcer with negative force that only activates on metal props, and the surface is magnetic. Not sure if it would be possible to detach it with a certain amount of force though.

The likelihood of it actually being made is probably pretty slim though, unfortunately.

The magnet would be an indispensable piece of code... unfortunately whenever someone says "magnet" they get an instant "no" (see second post).

The forcer can be used in reverse, the grabber is still useful and you can tie the system together with a e-gate and a ranger. With that you can make something that pulls and grabs when its close enough.

Unfortunately its the closest thing you'll get to a magnet... The current system involves using a breakable "auto-weld", you touch a pair of magnetic props together, they stick until you pull them apart. Unrealistic of course, but it does work.... kind of...

What needs to be done is a variation of that theme where they do something like a blackhole sent where things get sucked into it, but then instead of deleting, they simply weld to the prop.

That would be even closer to a magnet than what is out now.

Lua. We can’t allow humans to handle our economy, just look at how US’s economy is declining. Silly humans.
