I was wondering if it was possible to make a radio that works similar to the target finder. you would have a transmitter and a receiver. The receiver would be the target finder and the locator the transmitter. It would be nice to have the same options as the target finder, with target switching and such. Also, I think having the same inputs and outputs like the two way radio would be nice.
    Hopefully that made sense.

Also, just for the radio, i think switching between the channels would be nice.

Basically, make a radio that is more realistic.

Many aspects of Garry's Mod are hardly the pinnical of realisim.

You don't want to use what the target finder uses (FindInSphere), it's a bad idea to use it to much.

maybe we make real "chanells" and all transmitters and recivers have an "tuner" like input.
only problem would be when two transmiters have the same channel

I could tell you, but then I'd have to track you down and make sure you don't talk...

We already have that problem with the standard radios. Whenever two radios are set to the same channel, and broadcast, the last one overwrites any previous ones.

Well how about a radio where you can change channels and you can set a range of the radio, so it does not pick up every radio.

If that doesn't work, how about a plug that can send more than just one piece of data at a time.

Basically what i'm hoping to do with this is for spacemod. I made a refueling station, and I was hoping that I could send the max air, coolant, and battery of the ship to the station somehow, without having to edit any chips.

    I would really love this.
Ive been making a lot of waypoint following vehicles and it would be really nice if i could broadcast other data to them dependig on the waypoint they are at. Limited range radios would be perfect.

(yes i know this can be don with a gps and some logic but that's a pain in the ass :-) think about using that for 10+ points )
