We need something like the weld latch but it will freeze the prop where it is like a physgun would. If something just welded gets bumped by an object it will bounce and even move for that matter. Something frozen by the physgun never moves.

Left click select object to wire the freezer to, then place controller then have an "Activated" input.

Untill a workaround comes along, you could just use the wired weld to the terrain, assuming you only need to freeze in one position.
    Common sense no longer applies.

even after welding to the terrain, stuff can still bounce around like a mofo if its bumped.

I'm not sure if this will work in your application, but you can take a crack at using ECS for a workaround.

If you have ECS loaded you can use e_freeze to lock a target just like the physgun.

    Or: bind your_key "e_deselectall; e_select; e_freeze; e_deselectall;"
(The selects and deselects here will prevent you from causing trouble, assuming you're already using ECS. If you want more info go look it up - ECS = awesome)

how about just using the grabber to do this?

if you bump the thing being grabbed the grabber itself moves. I need it to be rock solid. If that ECS thing works as he says it does, then the wire crew just needs to make a something like the grabber that just freezes what the grabber's pointing at

Right click on the graber with the Graber STool and then right click on the world. It will link the graber and the prop it's grabing to the world.
