How about being able to actually input data into pods, perhaps via the Wire User STool? I'm thinking this could be useful for remotely controlling vehicles/weapons with pods/VCUs etc. I think it'd also be useful if we could use the physgun while in a pod, optional of course. Additionally, could it be made so Wire User can connect to things via actual wired connections and not just via beam?

He wants so you can control pod outputs, just put OR gate that has input from pod control, and from external control, and that should work

The only thing you could use this for is for the 2 vehicles (airboat and buggy) and it has been suggested before.
For all other creations you use a pod-controller for, it just requires the OR gates on the outputs so you can control it with anything else also. Or an if-then-else gate if you want complete remote control.

What you have actually made a good idea about, is the physgun within the pod, this would be almost impossible to replicate in a contraption, and could have some uses to it. But mainly you would never need it for contraptions, and it would propably **** up your garrysmod if you tried to move a prop that is welded to the pod.

Also you can make a turret with a wire-grabber or wire-user that is connected to the pod and aims where you are aiming. Make them grab or use with a press of a buttom.

And also you should try not making so many threads about ideas on the same day, when you could have made a thread with all the ideas in one. This is propably why BP is a little frustrated with you.

I know, I mentioned it again because I thought it was a good idea and because there'd apparently been no movement on it. Seems it was pretty much ignored when it was last mentioned.

Thanks, I'll give this a try.

I considered making one big thread with everything in it but the individualized thread approach seemed more organized and more likely to get feedback, at the time.

OK, I'll try a single thread next time.
