Granted, lag would be an issue...but it would be a way to implement full 3d radar. Still, the requirements are too high, I don't think it'll get done.
Could you make one ranger be able to output multiple beams and maybe give it a 360 Pitch yaw and roll ability? Perhaps for putting those valuve it a packet E-gate could be used or such.

we need a ranger, forcer, user, data forcer all in one combo. why don't we just combine all the beam based tools and you just check the settings you want kind of like a beacon sensor.
i know this isn't what you where talking about but i think it would be a good addition
See this post. Maybe I could make that except with a beam instead.
Hmm.... what if the Ranger had multiple beams?
What if we had the ability to choose how many beams we want from say 1 to 5 beams (or "eyes"). If they had say a Z option so they could not only be pointed from x & y but at a third angle it could make things a lot better...
The wired camera could benefit from having a 4 eyed rangercould cut render times, and render a depth map in 25% of the time
It would also give the ability to detect from multiple angles at the same time.
Say you have a wired Car, you can use a 3 eyed ranger to keep the car from hitting the sides or hitting something in front of it, with one ranger.
So i don't think that we need a super high resolution scanning ranger that can give the position of objects in a given 3d field... just a few more beams.

Pointless things that are pointless, are pointlessly pointless, therefore pointlessness is pointless.
So pointlessly pointing out the pointlessness of this pointless signature is utterly pointless.
My IQ is 123
that sounds like a very good idea Quadrapod, it would make for great organization and very clean wiring.
