Now if I can just motivate myself enough to actually start Gmod and work on it...

The EXTREME (Half an hour for MP, assuming it dosn't crash the first time(it will), and around a full hour for single player) load time is probably not helping...

Dunno. It's always been like that.

    EDIT:

What sort of protocol does the WSR use? Does it just send the strings you feed it over raw TCP? That's the best way for my idea... Though if I can cope with the IRC specification, I can cope with anything!

The way to do it is to use Wire Socket Radio, connected to address 127.0.0.1. You have to set up a program to do whatever you want, and it has to be able to understand the packets coming from the WSR. Some work involved, certainly, but doable.

thought....someone said they had a small screen...get it to display the screen from your toolgun. that'd be cool :P not really wiremod related, but vaguely related to making gmod affect the real world :P

visions of taking my E2 angle-mech program (made yesterday) and fitting it to some servos and bits of wood together and making the darn thing.

wait.....that's next years University project :P

That was my idea, but I don't know what sort of protocol the WSR uses...
