This topic reminded me of some old discussion. Maybe it was also about the grabber but with a physgun like grab that would allow you to rotate the grabbed object. It was about props, not players, though. Don't know if it ever became anything more than a discussion. Probably not.
But still, while grabbing players would be easy to minge with, grabbing and rotating props would not. Opinions?
All I really wanted this for, was for like a teleporter, for a pseudo-player weld, but toggleable, and to a player (an ent output would be nice). Not to move them, but as a wire replacement for a vehicle. I'm sure all of you have seen (at least once) the Weld - Player STool. I want that, in a wire-able, beam form.

The Grabber welds? Are you sure? Because lots of times i've seen an object "slide off" the grabber beam completely.
the reasoning behind the grabber pulling or pushing was meant to suggest a use for it like dynamic winch, you can grab a target at range and "reel it in" with the grabber, then keep it firmly positioned nearby.
