Thread: Chat inputs/outputs...is this possible?

    I've always had this idea but only now have I decided to post it. I don't even know if it's possible (atleast in multiplayer), but here it goes:

    Using text inputs and outputs. The output would be something like the text screen, but instead of using a screen it would output to chat. You would have the ability of setting dynamic text like the current text screen ( <#> tags and value inputs). Finnally, you could set if the text was emitted only to you, or to all players, and it&#39;s range (players outside that range wouldn&#39;t get the text). If possible, you could also name your creation:

    [Joe&#39;s Beer Bot] : You look thirsty!

    As a safety precaution, administrations would have the chance of adding a delay between texts, to prevent spam.

    The way I see for inputs is for the player to have a gate where he would set all his different commands, each of these commands would have a value assigned to them, and, the user could then use those values with comparisson gates to boss their creation around. You would also have the ability to allow only you or any user to command your bot, and the ability to set a minimum range for the player to be in.



    If outputting to chat isn&#39;t possible, then try using speech bubbles above the output .

    I know with conna&#39;s command box tool you can output "say TEXT...", but its bound to a numpad key and has to be manually updated.
