Nice idea.
You know how you can go into your post-processing menu and do things like change the base coloring of your view, add an overlay, blur motion, etc.? Why not add inputs to the Cam Controller to add these to your view? It should be relatively simple, as pretty much everything in post-processing is tied to a convar. Also, having them controllable via entity (or maybe E2 function i.e. Pod:setDriverOverlay(S) or Pod:setDriverColormod(V,V,N)) eliminates the possibility of concmd(S) being disabled interfering with your creation.
I support this idea, even though I never use cam controller. :P
If we could somehow combine the Adv. Hud 2 with the cam controller, an incredible degree of epic would result.
a custom HUD and color overlay for com controller sound wicked!
well this sounds like a killer app, imange the way wire minigames that would become possable.

Dev input?
Ooh, I like... You could add one of the static materials onto a security cam, or fisheye on a remote bot or something.
As far as linking Adv. Hud and Cam Controller, just negate whatever you're using to turn the camera on and wire that to the HUD's HideHud input. I use that with the crosshair on the drone I've been workign on, when you're in first-person remote pilot.
