The holo grid doesn't do anything by itself. You need holo emitters. The holo grid links to the holo emitters, after that the holo emitters use the holo grid as the "zero coordinate" where they will draw. So it's just for positioning multiple emitters at the same point, really. Go watch -orb-'s tutorial on them.

ah... thats my reason for my registration in this forum. I dont understand it to use the grid and dont find the Tutorial. Can you post a link plz?
Edit: I have found a Tutorial for the Grid, but my problem ist. I cant link a ermitter with a Grid. its doing nothing when i rightclick on the grid.

There's another thread on that, it might actually be broken.

that figures. i can't seem to link them to it either.

Yeah it's broken. I'm working on a project right now that involves using 9 emitters (yes, it's necessary, don't tell me I could have done it more efficiently), but they all need to display from the same place... but no. The grids don't work in the current version.
So instead I'm forced to try to nocollide all 9 emitters into the exact same place...
i discovered that you link them by right clicking the emitter then LEFT clicking the grid. which makes no sense. figures.
