I don't see any reason why this wouldn't be possible, but I'd like to check anyway (seeing as I'm currently a. running on Ubuntu and I have serious issues playing any Steam game through Wine and b. don't even have the Wire SVN partially downloaded yet):
I want to make a space station that has a turret system that can be controlled by players within the station using chairs (or any vehicle for that matter; chairs just seem the most logical). I'm almost certain that I have the turret aiming system (i.e. the way it rotates) nailed thanks to the help of somebody on FPS, but I also want to use a Camera Controller to have the player see the turret as he / she is using it. Would I be able to feed world co-ordinates into the cam controller and use, say, a gyroscope to determine the yaw (I think; please correct me if I'm wrong) of the turret that would allow me to determine which way the 'player' (although it isn't the player) should face? Of course, I would need to do a simple check that would activate / deactivate the camera with a mouse click, but that wouldn't be too hard at all.
Irrelevant question: does anybody know if BP has fixed the keyboard's 'stuttering' yet?
