For a download guide for wiremod, go here to see the download guide.
For tutorials on wiremod, this is the part of the forum where people post their stuff.
Wiremod Tutorials - Wiremod Forums
But pay attention to these. -orb- and duckys .
These last two are probably the most helpfull wiremod tutorials out there. They got me started with wiremod. They have tons of tutorials that range from beginer to expert.
I hope i have been helpfull,

This post has me thinking, perhaps an official tutorial would be a good idea. we have the firebox addon that could be used (with permission) to display videos in, then have them pause so the user could follow along. A lot of great tutorials have been made, mostly thanks to trickystutorials.com and could be implemented in an official tutorial addon that could be distributed with wiremod. I don't know if anyone here has used 3d modeling software, but they have a large learning curve, so they distribute tutorials that can be accessed from within the software. A great example would be Maya. I really think that wiremod could benefit from something like this, would anyone else be interested?

Well I'm no good at the coding aspect of it, I know a little and am learning, but not fast enough to lead a team. I know wiremod well enough to make some tutorials, I think what is missing and needed most is some beginner friendly tuts that cover really basic aspects of the mod and what it's about. I know of one basic tutorial on tricky's site but we would need more. I can do that. I'll take a look at the firebox code tomorrow and see what I can do, and also try to contact the creator, unless you can think of a better way to do it without firebox. anyway I kind of hijacked this thread by accident so we should start our own to continue this.
Where should we make our thread? I was thinking in either wiremod development or ideas and suggestions. By the way, what do you mean by you wouldn't be able to code for it? I can make some spiffy tutorials, but why would we need to code? Wouldn't we just need to make a video and use an ingame video viewer (I think that's what fire box is)?Originally Posted by sexiewasd;

Hell, you wouldn't even need to make a video--just taking some time to type a brief description of what each component does, how to use it, and possibly some examples of possible usage would be quite sufficient for an introduction to the parts, and even as a recap for those who forget or want to find out how to use a particular component.

A. Why are they better? Anyway, I wasn't even suggesting typed tutorials, I was suggesting a typed description and information on how to use for each wired component. That is not a tutorial, but more of a reference guide.
B. If you know what it is, do tell me.
