If your resolution is 640x480 then you should be able to encode divx with about 2000 Bitrate. 1500 if your using a shitty host like youtube.

That and 128 or 96 kbps Lame MP3 should net you about 7-10 megs a minute.

How long we talkin? if the tutorial you made is LONG 30+ mins I would resize to 320x240 and lower the bitrate to 1200.

I also use Xvid but you should have no issues with divx.

Alright, I'm close to having it ready, its at 103 megs right now (thanks to orb), just gonna edit a bit more and we'll see where it goes... anyway there is almost no chance of me being able to get this tutorial online before monday due to complications... this weekend is gonna be hell and I've got no room in it for tutorials. Expect it monday.... soonest.....

Hey man, Thanks for the tutorials. But could you use bigger chips, or at least turn off smart snap so we could see what you are doing. Thanks.

Hm... I tried making the self stabilizer. But every time I try, it spins around in a diamond shape. I even placed the plate and gyro exactly how he did and followed each step.

Take a look at the end of the tutorial, it quickly detials why sometimes it spins out of control... essentially, just figure out which gyroscopic value is wrong (or both) by welding a prop onto it to selectively check pitch and then roll, once you know which is wrong, negate the value going into the thrusters (or the thrusters themselves, it shouldn't matter).

Hey man, Thanks for the tutorials. But could you use bigger chips, or at least turn off smart snap so we could see what you are doing. Thanks.

Indeed, it doesn't take a genius to follow my words, not the chips, so I figured I'd spite the fellow. After all, it's not like I had been using nano chips...

Anyways... just a little heads up again... although I may have time to release the gyroscopic jetpack tutorial some time tommorow... I will not be making any new ones for a bit... I've coded about 2902 lines of a program and I probably have another 3000 ahead of me before I'm done with it. Essentially.... I'm going to be busy for the rest of this week.

That was me who mentioned it earlier and just to let you know, I am fine without your tutorials.. I was just thinking about the people who would be new to wire mod or garry's mod who would have trouble following along.. And you said it doesn't take a genius to follow your words but i often found that you would skip wiring details, no need to be smart about it.

Thats why Stage6 was so good at hosting my tutorials.. 800x600 with no FLV compression. Lots of strings were pulled to suck up the bandwidth of some loyal fans to host them all at full res.

You could (if you can get them under 100MB) upload them to Free File Hosting Made Simple - MediaFire for direct download.. or www.Vimeo.com is the best quality flash hosting I have found in the tubes.

Heres one of my 800x600's I threw on there.. Its resized and compressed to 640x480 FLV but that is better then youtubes 320x240..

also Vimeo will stream FLV Flash 1280x720 video. But that resolution only. I am currently uploading a 720P recording I did of 3dmark2003 as a test.
