He no longer has a copy of any of them on his HD, the question has been asked a thousand times.

Also, there is absolutely no reason to have them available for download; you can almost always get to them online at the host site... now of course is an exception, but normally, they're available to anyone with a browser; last thing we need to do is find another site that lets us upload 100 megs per file... trust me, good ones, ones that don't delete your files unexpectedly, are hard to come by.

I have downloaded all of orb's TuTs but getting them to people is another thing.
Also someone needs to take all of orb's TuT's and Update them as Gmod and Wire have changed so much since he first made them.

    External HD = Greatness.

Interesting, do you have any of the ones that are no longer listed (ie: they broke on the site)? If you do, we can try and find a way to reupload them from your HD. Otherwise, have fun with using up your disk :P

    The thing about that is:
    1. All of his tutorials explaining gates... lets say his memory gate tutorial - I already have made more up to date
    2. Most of his contraptions - utilize normal chips, when they would have benefited greatly from E2 or even E1.
    3. The ones that did utilize E1, didn't utilize it to it's full potential.
    4. Orb will almost definitely *not* be making any more tutorials, I convinced him for all of one day to give gmod another shot, it seems to me like he got a little confused with the new systems... and disappointed when I showed him E2 code to make the plane he was working on with 6 lines when he apparently (I was told) had a ton of chips.
    5. I don't think that anyone is going to redo these tutorials, they're still available (for the most part), and there are always many design features that could've been improved on. To replicate someone else's work in wire is rare (for the experienced users); we try and take ideas and make original designs around them. Take my helicopter tutorial for an example, I didn't make it because orb made his, I made it because I like things that fly, but notice the differences. Orb's is nice in that it's not very complicated, it flies, it stays stable (if I remember correct), mine builds on that, it says, that's not enough anymore, it needs to be able to pitch forward and back and fly more realistically; and if you see another helicopter tutorial on this forum, I can almost guarantee it will be more complex or drastically different than mine. The idea is not to reteach the same elements but to always be working on better designs.

In short, I don't think anyone is going to remake his tutorials (except him if you're *reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally* lucky), but that doesn't mean you won't find tutorials (or just contraptions that you can learn from) by just looking around the forum a bit.

If I can recall I have all of them even up to his last one number 26 or 27? i dont quite remember.

I do have them but I dont have a rapidshare account or anything of the sort. my upload kinds sucks, charter isn't all that great...

I'll get a list of TuT's that I do have. And as a reply of the people making TuT's. Some of them just don't explain things like they should. I mean TuT's like orb's and ZP are the two that I learned from most... So give me about an hour ( gotta go shovel some snow ) and ill post what TuT's I do have.

Can anyone explain why when ive made my sliding doors, i unfreeze them, then they fly away (really fast) till they're out of sight? Has something fundimental to these doors working changed in Gmod?

    Possible problems:
You have the weight of the doors wrong
    You attached the sliders wrong
    The hydraulics are wrong
The hydraulics have the wrong value.

    Solution:
No clue, since you didn't tell what you have done, exactly.
    My signature has a point.

EDIT: Gahh! Beat to the punch! Now I need a quote...

Sliders have never been particularly stable (except back in gmod9, but that's another story).. and for that matter, fixed hydraulics too. If in his tutorial he told you to use more than one slider, don't, they interfere with each other. Same goes for hydraulics or any combination of the two; more than one screws both.

There are lots of ways to make doors, and I happen to have a tutorial on hydraulics which shows an alternative way to do this, one which will almost definitely remove this issue (because the hydraulic is not fixed). Try and combine the lessons from orb's tutorial and my own, even if you do fix this setup, it can't hurt to experiment with other door types.

hey do you think that you can do a wired keypad door possibly vertical (not that it makes a difference)? that would really help and i cant find anything else about it...that is good. <_<
