Good idea George, I like it, could try suggesting in Ideas & Suggestions, see if any Lua devs are willing to try it.What we need is air to air missles, we do have that AMRAAM fly by wire thing, but it is so unrelalistic, it manouveres far too well and has unlimeted fuel so it will never lose a track unless it hits the target, or crashes.
What with the fin tool, allowing us to make planes that have real moving controls instead of thrusters, I think this idea would be great.[/b]![]()

Yeah ehm, i am running RC4, i don't know the difference since i am fairly new to GMod. (Since late October)
I will test it with RC 2 or 3 and see if it actually works better than RC4

This missile can hit air targets, it hits them the best, but it needs to be set to very weak or have phys damage on, because it will start to spaz the target, that or just put a detonator to the missile and if in range tell it to explode. This missile is cheaply accurate and turns on a dime, also it can be copied with advanced duplicator I think, I know it works with regular duplicator, quite fun to tell 10 of them to chase after an RPG round. (It hits the round too)
Cheap accuracy can be toned down with some extra math crap, like slow down the rate of changes of target vector
say Y: 50 or whatever
then suddenly Y:100
it could speed up through all values between 50 and 100 to simulate it turning instead of just zig zagging as the target zig zags
Edit: also I was on server with wabash and designed a cool little launcher system that holds three shells.
It launches them into the air when ever a selected input is true , maybe a button or when a target is in range, then after a few seconds when it's at the peak of its height it zooms towards the target. High in the air for anti-air attacks and safe to fire so it doesn't blow up the launch tube itself
This could be solved through a speedometer linked to a thruster to improvise a fin, just make a fin like this on the back and throw it on the missile.
Instructions:
1. Spawn a lighter object than the missile, angle it properly, set speedometer on top of the object and make it show X Y Z.
2. Spawn a thruster to the bottom of the object, wire it to Z on the missile.
3. Weld to bottom of missile, may need to be negative, the thruster has to be relatively weak, it would create a fin.
Hi guys im a total wire n00b i can only make a trip wire explosive and wire up a bunch of forcers and minge to friends and thats about it. i tried to make this vector missle and i couldn't get it to work. i was wondering if someone could make a movie of how to do it or just make a special version of the tutorial explaining it for a n00b. it would be much appriciated!!!![]()
