    Cool Ultimate Rave Machine

Ladies and Gentlemen, have you ever been stuck on a dull server with nothing much happening? Run out of entertainment? Have a dark room, but no bright, pulsing, lights and awesome techno music?
Sounds like you need the Ultimate Rave Machine!

Its based on a tried and tested design, a compact portable Instant Rave Machine. It is similar to the original rave machine which you may have seen before on some servers (which I didn't design):

So, what makes this machine so special?
    • Lots of pulsing Disco/Rave style lights, controlable with a neato control panel.
    • Two fold out panels with rotating lights mounted on them.
    • Nine of your favorite Half Life 2 techno tracks! Will work on any server!
    • An aimable laser system, customisable laser positions!
    • Smoke, Sparks, Coloured Flares, Fire, and more!
    • A Timewarp feature, which will instantly teleport your rave party to a random destination!
Ok, enough nonsense, onto serious business. This will require the following addons:
    1. Wiremod - Preferably the latest version
    2. PHX Props
    3. Tile Props - Tiled Building Blocks V2 Download!
    4. Laser STOOL 2.0 - Laser STOOL 2 Download!
    Controls are simple;
The switch next to the ramp will flip it onto the ground, with lots of smoke involved.
On the far left of the control panel are the buttons for the side panels. They're all Named, fairly straightforward. You must lock the panels though, otherwise the spinning lights will wobble a lot.
In the mid-left are the laser panel controls. You'll need to wire the lasers to the FIRE button, because they don't dupe properly.
The yellow/red button group controls the thruster effects.
The nine numbers will start various techno beats.
The large set of power buttons will control the lighting!
Finally, either pressing the big clock button or sitting in the chair and pressing Space Bar will send you flying to a random destination.

I will later upload this to gmod.org, but so far its complaining about it only being a txt file...
Just copy the file into your adv_duplicator folder, it may lag a bit though; its quite complex.

    Enjoy the PARTY!

Isn't tiled building blocks included in PHX 3 SVN now?

Now all you need is a Holoemitter, that emits randomly -2500 - 2500 for XYZ, then get a colourer to change its colour every 0.1 seconds.

    That's always fun to make.

This one's different from the previous one. Its based on the same idea, only with much more stuff! ^_^

As for Tiled Building Blocks being included with PHX, I wouldn't know...

And I was planning on having a holo emitter wire up to a target finder, making trails following people, but that was waaay to laggy.
Keep in mind this is only the prototype; once I've started learning E2, I'll probably be able to make this much cleaner.
The light pulsing circuits used to be much bigger though, I cut them down from 11 chips down to 4.
Anyone tried it yet? The random teleport should work in gm_construct_flatgrass, and it looks great in the dark room.

Baw. Gates are so much more fun for this kind of thing.

You should make a projector from one of your holoemitters. Have a laser pointer finding out the minimum/maximum X, Y and Z coordinates of a flat surface you want it to scribble on, and then just generate random coordinates within that range. It looks great when you have it on the floor!

I like gates, they are very flexible. E2 would cut down some of the lag, though.
I might try the thing with the holo projector, that would look very cool. I've updated the dupe slightly, there were a few errors (e.g, one of the buttons started playing the wrong sound).
I'm working on a car with similar circuitry and lighting schemes at the moment, a Mclaren. Should look nice once finished.

This is actually pretty awesome, most things like this are just laggy machines made by minges, but this actually looks decent.

Thanks man, I spent about 3 hours getting it to work just right! ^_^
If looks very nice in the dark room on gm_construct, although with everything running it does lag a fair bit; thats mostly the lasers.
