So in actuality you haven't even started this in gmod itself?
Dear Ms Marcus,
As I write this, this is the sixth letter I have written to your employer, Mr Albert Herald. You will note, I hope, that I have now ceased addressing them to him, as I sincerely doubt it will ever reach his "concerned" eyes, but yours instead.
Why do you continue to ignore me? Are my questions so damning that you see fit to simply act as though they have never crossed the minds of all the sheep you parade around in the media?
As you well know, my grandfather worked for Olympus Technologies (Then Herald Ent.) in your Design & Development team, specialising on the repair technologies that have become a mainstay of your recent line of drones. My father, in turn, worked on your inter-drone communication system.
But my father never worked for you. At this time, my family had begun Valhalla Incorporated, and it was under Valhalla that the numerous methods by which your drones communicate evolved, not Olympus.
Clearly, we cannot hope to compete with your mastery of the media, but I do not think you could hold back the rumours and inconsistencies that the public so happily dine upon for long. If you remain silent as to how you acquired our technologies in your new drones, then our lawyers will be glad to loosen your tongues.
Sincerely, Nathaniel Yroth
CEO of Valhalla Incorporated
[characterBreak]I wonder if I could make this the first Gmod AR project?
If you like bees...[/characterBreak]
So in actuality you haven't even started this in gmod itself?
[characterBreak]Well no, because my only Gmod-able computer is still kaput. I'm designing and coding everything though. Currently I'm working on the Hephaestus and Hermes models, you can click on their symbols in the first post to go their respective threads[/characterBreak]
Dear Mr Yroth,
As I am sure you are aware, any and all technologies developed whilst an employee of Olympus Technologies and its predecessors remains the sole property of Olympus Technologies until the copyright license expires without renewal. This applies to your grandfather's work until further notice.
Additionally, unless you can provide evidence that our communication system is sufficiently similar to your own and was developed afterwards, I am afraid you have no basis to presume corporate theft on our part. I assure you that the development of our communication system occured in a unique and separate environment to your own, and as such is the sole property of Olympus Technologies as previously noted. Please take care in providing evidence for your accusations in further communications.
Sincerely, Ms Cheryl Marcus
[characterBreak]Working on the Ramble system some, after that it's more on the co-ordinates for motion via the vector thrusters[/characterBreak]
What is wrong with your computer?
And seriously, [characterBreak] does NOT work!
Nope
too short
[characterBreak]Yeah, I know, it's just there to differentiate the in-character text from the out-of-character text.
My computer has a corrupted file in it's startup sequence, and the OS is stored in one of two partitions. The other partition holds my actual personal files. I need to reinstall the OS over the original copy in the former partition.
The trouble is that neither partition is named (Because my dad set up the harddrive and didn't think that was wise somehow). So as a result, I don't know which partition has the OS.
Which would be simple enough to fix, hook the drive up to another computer and check and/or clone the contents of one or more of the partitions then reinstall the harddrive.
Except, the only other computer available for that purpose (I'm on my laptop at the moment) had it's power supply conk out and has now developed a crashed (completely) harddrive of its own, so until that's fixed I can't find out which partition is which and I'd rather not play coin toss with my personal files until then.[/characterBreak]
