    Default Several trebuchet types

I have been building different types of trebuchets, basically whatever kinds I could find on google. Not really relevant to wiremod except for the fact that I used gyroscopes for the projectile releases. Still pretty cool though if I do say so myself.

I don't see how to embed videos so if you want to see them you have to go to my garrys mod youtube playlist.

Interesting design - though I'd mess with the release angle a bit. Lots of height, not much distance.

Which of the four? And yes the distance is bad because I have no knowledge of the math behind trebuchets :P

In physics class, we came to the mathematical conclusion that 45° is the most optimal.

The math I was referring too was the arm length/mass ratios and counterweight to projectile mass ratios. 45° is only optimal in situations where the acceleration is immediate, since trebuchets build acceleration over time, a little past 45° is actually optimal.

The whiper and merlin both don't use a gyroscope to release, thus the bad angles. I found it too tricky to get the release just right with them as the arm travels almost a full circle, and pitch would have the same value twice in one swing of the arm. The floating arm, faka and merlin all use winches to release and cock the arm. The whiper was the only one I had to release by unfreezing.

Actually, there is an equation for this. As I don't know it off hand, go look for the howitzer thread in the help+support thread

EDIT: oops, it's in the contraptions+saves section.
    Unicycle of dooooooooooooooom!

No there doesn't. I'll make a bellycopter that flies on rainbow power and shoots chocolate mousse at people using electrofunk radiation, and you can't stop me!

I Really loved all four of them. You might need to work on getting more distance rather than height. But anyways great job! I wanted to know what the song was called on the fourth trebuchet? Please Reply.

Don't know the name but it's part of the "Matrix" sound track so look it up through that.

To OP. Cool Trebuchets, The third one seems the most practical, having a good distance, easily reloadable and a solid dependable launch mechanism.
