grahams a cool guy, he cant see the inputs or outputs on the wire gates or chips. he has it all memorized. i think thats amazing but..![]()
Well I saw a scale on these forums and I thought why not give it a go myself. This guy inspired me to do it the way I did:
So I decided to figure out Hydraulic Sag/Pound, and after a while I managed to figure it out.
I made a scale thats purely based on how far the base plate is from where it should be, using a ranger measuring distance. It's very accurate, for every 2000 pounds it goes off by about one pound. Given it's got a max weight of 3000, not a problem.
Better yet, it doesn't need to be set up at all! Just place the scale, and hop on. Most people have a calibration setting, or something of the sort.
I would post a video but my GMod is messed since my computer technically can't handle it, so I can't see my HUD or Wire Bubbles.. pretty weird I managed to make it with no help, anyways, when my friend gets on I will get him to make a video for you guys, and I'll keep you posted. ^^

Yarr, mine was the "First"(it wasn't the first, but it was the one that the post he quoted was from) same way I used, using the "Sag"/Offset of the hydraulic to determine the weight, the problem with this is that they dont always rest at the same number, or atleast if you drop a weight of 100 onto the scale the offset distance sadly is nearly never 100. if you can drop the item onto the scale with nearly 0 zspeed and it is resting on the platform then it may give constant results

http://www.wiremod.com/1109-wired-servo.html thats the best one iv seen, very accurate I think the reason mine was so far off was the platform I used was to light/heavy
Edit: Wired Servo? apperntly I linked the wrong page haha

Actually I seem to find it accurate within a quarter of a pound, until I get beyond 2000. It's just a matter of dropping it on the center. Or rather, above where the hydraulic is. I mean it will measure you if you're off center, but if its any more than like 500 pounds it'll be off by a few.
Edit: Oh, and no offense intended, mine doesn't take any of how yours works. In fact, I have no clue how you got yours to work. XD
"mine doesn't take any of how yours works." Well, Presuming you were trying to speak English and you meant to say something along the lines of "Mine doesn't work anyway the same as yours"(and even that still doesn't sound right haha) It works exactly the same, Hydraulic between 2 fixed points, Prop placed on top platform, Ranger records distance change, then from there its just a simple calculation. Mine is just very in-accurate because I used 4 Hydraulics to keep it even/prevent it from tipping, didnt figure out it was the cause tell later on![]()
