Default A Scale made with wiremod

This is one of the first things iv made that is (Slightly) Complex, and that I came up with the idea for myself(may have been done before, but I didnt get the idea from any other Gmod thing ) I got the idea from weighting myself on the bathroom scale Im surprised it worked, Sure there is a big Error factor due to the way hydraulics sag, but w/e. I guess I should have used an Elastic, and a slider, but this seemed to have worked out good

    What do you guys think?

Edit: Due to youtube you cant read the numbers on the weights, they are around what is being showen(+/- upto 20% I would say, at lower Weights it is less accruite

As for the 2 buttons the Reset one "Zeros" the Scale, aka when nothing is on the scale you hit reset then it levels it out since the hydraulics never perfectly reset. And the other button is a "calibrate" Button, what you do is place a 100 Weight on the scale, hit that button, then it should be calibrated. Its really pretty simple, but never the less it was fun to make

Please post Comments/Ideas, Thanks!(P.S What else should I make? I can never come up with ideas)

i havent looked at the video yet (i will in a second)

but heres an idea to make it more accurate:

You could have a plate with a slider (maybe a free movement advanced ball socket to keep it from rotating) with wired thrusters on the bottom of it. place the object you're weighing on the plate... and then have the force of the wired thruster gradually increase until the plate begins to move up (delta chip to sense that?). Then you could have it so once the force of the thruster is great enough to start lifting the plate and the object up, the force stops increasing and the weight calculation is done based on the thruster force.

That would eliminate the inaccuracies from hydraulic sagging but it wouldn't be as "real."

Let me know if you need me to clarify

K so with that you won't have the inaccuracies from the sagging hydraulics... but it might take a few seconds to calculate the weight seeing as how youd need the thruster force to gradually increase until the force isenough to push the object up.

Oooh nice to see people try their hand at things like this, always good for learning how things work

    Here's a tip:

Hydraulic "Sag" is consistent and has a positive correlation to weight.

Great idea about the calibration feature. I made one of those a while back too with almost perfect accuracy.. but no special features really.
