That's pretty cool.
Just wanted to post a description of my primitive wire computer (1950's style of the huge wall size computers). It basically just saves, reads, writes, and calculates data.
It actually contains no cpu or expression gates. Its based on increment/decrements and RAM. I know it's not very practical and over complicated but its just cool to use. It also has a disk drive which uses the 1x1 phx plastic square with RAM and a plug.
You write data by hitting the minus or plus keys to achieve a certain value then you can either save it to the computers massive memory or to the disks 3 different variables. You use a panel to pick which stored memory to show on a screen so you will know what your writing. Many other things are included in it like a latching door to access the innards of the computer, a built in primitive calculator, and a disk equation output screen. The pictures I have are a little out of date because they don't have the calculator or the new and more user friendly disk.
The Computer in all. (before i added the calculator section)
The main data panel.
The obsolete disk.
Computer writing data to a disk.
Writing data to internal RAM. (now with address buttons to choose data address)
Please excuse my messy wiring. Also the metal 2x1 panel next to keypad opens to reveal inner wiring.
My final version has another "cabinet" for the calculator along with another interface.
Has a constant machine ambience sound that loops too.
That's pretty cool.

Okay, I still might need to work out a few bugs that come along with the dupe also the keypad gets messed up with dupe so you'll have to set it like all duped keypads. Another thing is it may lag a little bit but usually only that occurs while facing the computer directly. One last thing is I think I'll try and post some more recent pics of the calculator too. So I'll see if I can't put up a save on garrysmod.org. If I do I will probably include another blank disk so you can dupe a couple for computer data sharing.![]()
I'm actually getting on to try and post it up on http://www.garrysmod.org/ right now and I'll call it "1950's computer". Hope it works as well for you as it does me, and if you can't figure it out post here again and I'll answer you.
Okay its now up and rdy for d/l at garrysmod.org but here are some pictures..
The up to date calculator section... (its adding A to B or 1 + 2)
Here are the guts of the calcuator...
The new and improved disk... (comes as a separate dupe file in the same zip file though)
The new adress selection section (the screen didn't show up for some reason but its rly above the 1 2 and 3 buttons you see.

Sweet, I like the way you can open the doors. Very cool
