    Hardly. Not to be rude, but I'm really getting sick of everyone using the same applyforce automatic stabilization technique for everything (that's what it seems you did anyway). This is a boat, not an auto-turret. I'm 100% with Tolyzor on this.. when you're trying to simulate something in the real world, use methods that would give an equivelant effect. Use buoyancy and thrust... the way it snaps into place really cheapens an otherwise very well designed boat. It looks awesome.. but you got lazy with the physics/movement. If you want to simulate buoyancy with applyforce, and can make it look realistic, by all means go for it..

    I have fixed the snapped turning, making it much more realistic that way, and I'm going to fix the dive and surface so its not all like, LOOK IT PITCHES EXACTLY IN THE MIDDLE. :3

    Also, today I should be finishing it. As you can see I have the torpedoes working, and the bugs have been worked out of them. Next is the deck gun, which is going to work exactly like the torpedoes, meaning you use the periscope to lock the target and it slowly turns and aims at the target, calculating ballistics and all that junk, for accurate hits.

    I'm also going to be adding a dynamic swelling system, like when surfaced, the boat will slightly pitch and roll as the "waves" hit it.

    Also, going to be adding the crash dive and ballast system where users have to maintain compressed air levels too.

    So expect much better!

    one problem with this. gmod spits out this when trying to load it in single player

    For that you have to rename the file. I had that same problem i just renamed it to "Submarine" and it worked fine

    The file is named " - Das Boot..txt". You can't have periods in filenames other than the file exstension.

    This is really nice... this would be epic on naval... but my friend has ya beat.. he took a week and made every class submarine that ever existed... and some from other games...
    and i love your torpedoes :3

    I've noticed all the recent threads have files with an extra period... is it some sort of new bug in the forums?
