If you get rid of the kill fuinction, it wouldnt be mingey, and you could release the dup!
a non mingey shield would be perfect.
A project I've been working on for a couple weeks. Its basically a protective field but unlike most its only active when a threat is onto you. Ill just present the features for better explanation.

Features
-The shield only blocks the aim if you are being aimed at and no other time. (Shield mode)
-Prop deflecting range acts up depeding on the speed,faster props are caught further away while slower are caught closer. (Deflect mode)
-If a person gets within a certain range of the bubble/safe zone and the kill mode is enabled one of the plates will attack the player. (Kill mode)
- Deploy mode allows the shield to be placed in a static position for protecting an area/base. Attack range is increased and shield mode is disabled.Its placed in the players aimpos and can be moved using E. (Deploy mode)
- All modes are able to be active at the same time allowing full protection. Deflection uses different shields than the ones being used to block view.
- Bubble color can be changed using chat commands.
Chat Commands
-!shield on/off
-!deflect on/off
-!kill on/off
-!all on/off (Disables or enables all 3 main modes)
-!deploy on/off
Notes
-Can block turrets,normal and wired.
-Unfortunately the kill mode might be a bit mingy due to it attacking anything in range (400 units in personal and 2000 units deployed).
-Deflection is a bit sensitive.
-The video sucks. Doesnt show half of the features. Ill make a new one later.

What happens if somebody gets a giant phx plate and mashes you with it?
Actually that rule has been removed. And the reason I haven't released yet its because im not completely happy with it,I might once its 100% done.yah its mingy, but there IS a rule in the sticky last I checkd that you HAVE to release dup/code with your project. there will be no more "Im mr awsome, beg for my contraption and Ill give you the code but no commands"

Nice setup, it's good to see other variations of shielding systems popping up around here.
I like how the design is hands-off and mostly unseen (minus the shields floating over your head) until it takes action.
A quick question: I made something a bit like this a long time ago, and used the same phx prop as the one you do, mostly because it was difficult to rotate the flat props properly. Did you use that one for the same reason, or are you using it for actual improved functionality over the flat ones?
A little of both. I found it hard to rotate other things but also these had the advantage that with the concave side they faced enemies shooting while the convex side they deflected props more efficiently.
And as for the props floating..well lets face it :P Its the probably the best way of having so many props move around without getting killed by them,even though I implemented a safety system so an individual shield no collides if its within 200 units of you to avoid accidents.
I want this SOOO bad because of prop-killing minges.
