This is my first post and I searched the forum for my problem, but its not easy to find what im looking for because i usually speak german.

So i spawn a Target finder and link it to a beacon sensor. Then i spawn a watermelon and it gets painted red.
After shooting at the melon the fragments are also red. Why? I did the same thing yesterday and it didnt do that.
It just should target the next Melon. I remember i had the same issue with explosive barrels sometimes.

Here are some scrennshots and the condump.txt :

Hey guys I've wanted to do something for quiet some time now, but only recently have I began realizing potential for this.
What I've wanted to do is make a wasd/mouseaimed drone which works on dumb fire or snaps onto a contraption. Heres the catch... I was to use a missile that's similar to propcore missiles such as this! Yes... I'm looking to take the idea of a bazooka platformed missile, and use it on a drone. Why? Tanks are easier to kill from the top, down. What missile am I using?

She is dubbed "Ching Missile". I need to put this on a drone, and fire with velocity that once the gcombat stuff touches a prop it blows up. Anyone got a clue how to do this without prop core?

Please... No one on Facepunch could help me or give me a good tutorial /w advice. Is their anyone out there who can actually tell me what I have to do?

Physics to PewPew, Gcombat, and others

This post is meant to act as a center for the physics behind the prop damaging mods, or at least encourage someone to make a guide.
My main question is simple, can someone give the physics data behind the mods?
For example, is pew pew affected by air resistance?
Do the latest Gcombat cannons use a predefined parabolic arc, and if so does anyone know the equation for these?

Do the bombs in pew pew have only the gravity given by PewPew, do they have actual inertia behind them and move forward when dropped by a plane?

Can you use simple kinematics for most of the calculations with PewPew and Gcombat?

It would be nice if Divran could shed some light on pew pew, just because its awesome for physics contraptions/calculations. It would also be good if someone can give some info on Gcombat.
Thanks for any help.

Hello all,

I have just recently decided to make some Gmod Tutorials, and I was just wondering if people could give me several ideals of things to make. Below is a list of Items I have already decided to make tutorials of:

- Boats
Warships, Transports and other types of vessel.

- Missiles
These include Guided and unguided, along with Torpedos for submarines and also adding Fuel systems, and delays etc.

- Turrets
Pritty much explains itself. Both Manual and Automatic.

- Cars
Making small cars, still trying to work on much larger ones that don't lag for example trucks, and semis etc.

- Drones
Work on making small drones for different jobs, they will be manually controlled using radios etc.

I will post all tutorials on a forum which Is below. They will be both written copies that can be printed, and also Videos, which will be uploaded to Metacafe, and Youtube. Just to say aswell that these tutorials are not entirely Wire based, for example ships and cars do not all use Wire, I will do examples of both though.

Please give any constructive critisism and any ideas at all about other things to make.

Thanks in advance for any support that anyone can give.

Forum Link: HellsGate.nstars.org (Still in Construction...)

Please sign up the tutorials will start appearing by tomorrow.

Regards,

EGP Window Manager

Well, as the title clearly explains, I'm working on a fairly complex Window Manager for the recent EGPv3 (thank you Divran!). Right now I'm pretty much alpha testing, and the window manager itself is at the bare minimum of function (a major update should come soon to add UI components like cursors and such). So, if anyone wants to peek at the beginning of a project, I'm letting them.

A quick how-to-usefor the demo preview:

Download the e2c_egp_window_manager.txt and egpwm_notepad.txt files into your garrysmod/garrysmod/data/Expression2 folder.

Spawn an EGPv3 screen.

Spawn the E2C EGP Window Manager E2.

Create a basic timer (I use Gate - Time pulser) and connect to the draw input of the E2. I recommend a slow rate; I debug it at 1 second pulses. Don't turn it on yet.

Spawn an EGPWM Notepad chip, and watch the chatter between the two chips in your chat area.

Connect the EGP [WIRELINK] inputs on both chips to the EGPv3 screen.

Turn on the pulser.

It works fine with one window, but the avid user might modify the window position and notice that, although windows draw correctly in front of each other, there is a strange bug: each draw iteration, the second window created loses one detail (the titlebar, the title, the close button) until it gets to the border, then the cycle restarts. I'm trying to track this one down now, but enjoy the pre-alpha version now.

Speaking of an avid user, the API documentation so far is in the file EGPWM_help_dnr.txt . I store it in my Expression2 folder for quick reference (hence the "dnr": Do Not Run), but you can put it wherever you please.

I'd enjoy some help/bugfixing on this project, but I've never actually worked on a synchronized project before. Still, if you have suggestions, please tell me!

EDIT: Screenshots incoming...
