    Question Console Screen and writeCell()

    Hello. Although I am an avid E2 user, I've got no idea what to do here. See, I need to set the background color of a single coordinate. This coordinate is dynamic, so I'm assuming I need to use writeCell to do that.Can anyone show me how to find the cell values for certain coordinates on the console screen?

    inb4 someone says to use a writeString command and i snap their neck

    Code:
    XWL:writeString(String, X, Y, TextColor, BackgroundColor, Flash)
    Write a blank space " " with a background color.

    Bite me, Drunkie. Bite me.

    I still need to retain the foreground characters, which writeString does not support unless I use readCell which I also cannot use because i do not know which cell value to use. Hence, I need to know how to find cell values for certain coordinates.

    I found some information here: Wired Console Screen - GMod Wiki

    Code:
    Notes:	highspeed memory: 0 to 1079 Is whats on screen
    Code:
    Address	Abilities/Meanings
    Even #ed - 0,2,4...	Simple Character (If multiple characters are supplied, the first one will be used.)
    Odd #ed - 1,3,5...	Options/Parameters (See Wire_Expression2#Wirelink)
    Hope that helps.
