Wouldn't this lag if you're on a big map and use alot of them?
I've wanted this countless times for various reasons.. can we add a function for creating holographic lines (essentially just rigid ropes). No length limitation, but a width limitation is fine.
One of the examples of a time when I wanted something like this, was when I was creating an expression to locate and point out all instances of expression2 chips on the map, to find people doing naughty things with them. Because we had no line feature, I was forced to use short arrows pointing in the right direction. Lines would have been much more suitable.
This thread reminded me to suggest this feature, he could use this type of functionality to create a wireframe view of his models.
There are lots of uses for this.
holoCreateLine(ID,Pos1,Pos2,....)
It would deviate from the operation of E2 holograms a bit, like angle/scale/etc would serve no purpose, but it sure would be nice to have.

Have you checked HERE first?
You could create a square with 1 yz size and needed x size, then angle it to point towards needed point and place it inbetween the points. Would help if holoScaleUnits was correct though.
You could also check out duneds render lib, what you suggest sounds like a quad with the rope material.
You mean like the holoemitter lines? I would like that as well.
Edit: Feha, it's your 500th post!
Seriously, you keep a check at my posts? Also, the only special post numbers is 42, 666 and 1337.
checked out duneds render lib? Think its the drawQuad(). Not sure tho.
I support this 100 %.
I think Mclovin has taken a break from holograms though, but of course anyone is free to make it.
I may be able to make it, but I'm not very good with usermessages. I could try it.
