    I said instead of welds
    Also, a weld just applies force too, so it can be as stable as a normal weld.
    Maybe not vs physgun though, since welds also seem to have some kind of hard limit which can't be done with applyforce
    But vs everything else, it's about as stable as a weld.

    in addition to that, you can make E2 "welds" one-sided

    Huge bump but I feel it's better than making a new thread.

    Why are we limiting e2 just so that people will be forced to use things that they don't need to use? E2 it's self isn't neccesary. The only reason E2 is usefull is so that people don't have to use gates. Replace the word gates with wires and E2 with getWirelink() and it sounds like a statement you just made a few posts ago Tomy. People can still create universal car templates, it's just that instead they have to sit there wiring shit up for an hour instead of building the car and driving. getWirelink() has nothing to do with creating templates, it just makes things easier when you're building something new. I find it especially usefull on spaceage for my GPU. GPU messes up all the time and will display itself on 1/4 of a random persons screen, when that happens i delete the e2/GPU combo, spawn the e2 and the GPU and they wirelink up to my ore storages/etc. Another example is my spaceage guns, if one blows up, i have a concmd() spawn another and it autowirelinks and applyforces into place. getWirelink() is a usefull tool and we should not be forcing people to wire things up manually when there is no point. Hell, you could say that applyforce makes people too lazy to use the physgun, but it's in the official svn...

    I want to use it on multiplayer, I don't think server owners are going to be thrilled to let some random guy tell them what to upload to there servers.

    Also, I already adressed the issue of it being a bump.
