For those who are using the portable version of notepad++ you need to put userDefineLang.xml in the Notepad++Portable\App\Notepad++ folder

I've heard that the current E2 highlighting for Notepad++ is severely out of date. I have now made one with nice colors and I have updated it with all the functions listed on the wiki. The only thing that is from the original version, is the install notes

Install:

Close N++ if it is running.
Hit Windows Key + R.
Type "%APPDATA%\Notepad++" without the quotes and hit enter.
Extract the userDefineLang.xml file to that folder.
Open N++.
Under the Language menu, go to the bottom and choose Expression 2.

He even indented too. To change tabs to spaces quickly just do CTRL+H, check regular expression, and type \t for "find what" and 4 spaces for "replace with", then click "replace all".

nope, that won't work all the time. it will mess up "aligned code"
like a bunch of variables assigned with values, where you'd line up the equal signs

Far easier than manually doing it for every occurrence, besides you can just do "replace" and check that each one is done correctly.
