Forget about me, custom highlighting in N++ sucks. It's just too limited. Can't let a color go for the rest of the line (for the directives) without making it a comment, and then comments and directives will have the same color. Also, can't change the background color, so it looks like crap when using a background color for the keywords.

strings and comments are both grey in E2 if I'm not completely wrong now

String and comments are both grey, but I made the strings dark red because, in my opinion, it looks MUCH better. It's also easier to destinguish whats strings when just skimming over a code then.
And what do you mean by alternate string type?
EDIT: Should I add collapsable conditional statements like shown in the attached picture?
EDIT2: New version. Just saw the exit() function was missing. Also added the collapsable conditional statements.
