    Unhappy E2 Dupe Help

    How can i make my e2 chips so people cant dupe them people are always stealing my stuff

    if(duped()&owner():name()!=YourNameHere) {selfDestructAll()}
    duped() checks to see if the E2 was duplicated and it checks if the person who duped it has your name, if not, it uses selfDestructAll() which removes the E2 and all props constrainted to it, so no stealing =D

    Well it can be done to a certain degree. You can always do the selfdestruct command, as well as hide the chip, but most of the time if someone gets the dupe they can get the e2 from the dupe file.

    I could potentially see a way to keep the e2 from being duped in the first place though.

    Have your ship/contraption use a radio to communicate with the expression, then spawn the expression as a separate dupe using a radio to communicate with the ship/contraption. Place the gate in a safe place where it won't get duped(like a box inside your ship/contraption) and that should do the trick.

    well i have a reputation of going into dupe files and copying the code, so i should know how i do it

    well if the wiremod dev creat a lua file so that you can acses outside files, you can see if you can say :

    include my E2 code.txt (Garrysmod/garrysmod/data/E2/)

    I did. You did provide good advice on the self-destruct. I merely agreed with your statement. However, self-destruct will not delete the dupe itself, so you can always go into the code and copy it.
