If he had actually managed to finish this then this probably would have been the next generation of wiremod. Technology has many paths leading to one end. This would have been the start of one path, its a shame he quit coding it.
If at first you don't succeed, blame it on Garry.

We shall wait for FreeFall (WSR) who in turn shall wait for OOSocks to be finished and make sense, then it should become easy enough for general public to contribute.

OR we could make another try at a good socket dll right now.

It's a pity that users of Garry's Mod have an antipathy against DLLs.. Even if the source code is open-sourced. I blame Garry for spreading bad words about them, DLLs can add so much more functionality to GMod, the sky's the limit. I was recently contacted by someone about this project, and he wanted to rewrite or continue the project, so perhaps you shall see more of this in the future. (not by me though )

If you could, Make the game server itself upload information to a central server which would do the processing and then upload the information back to the game server which will be sent to the client connected.

The problem would be. If say I am in australia right now and I were to ping an american server, I would get around 290 - 360 ping so then massive lag would happen. Someway to get more than 1 central server in different locations would be a great start on achieving a good connection.
