Flash memory is new type of memory in Wire which is permanent, your data is stored between games.
Right now it's in stage of public beta test, it is in newest svn update.

Features:
• Storing data on numbered "drives"
• Multiplayer limit: up to 4 drives, and max 256KB each
• Unlimited size in SP
• Uploading and downloading from servers [not finished]
Size is set in kilobytes.

Awesome! Now we need wirePC so we don't have to rebuild what to USE it on every time

I think Black Phoenix has the "Wire PC" down already, with his wire operating system for the CPU.

Least, that's what I heard!

You really had to make a thread for this?

Yes, because it's beta test, and this thing may be unstable

You say it stores the contents of the hard disc even when you quit - does it save the contents to a file?

Say you make a hard disk in single player, then spawn one in multiplayer another day later - would it overwrite the new one or are they named by some system. Maybe you name hard drives yourself?

1) Hard drive sets are connected to players steamid
2) They are numbered, not named (0,1,2,3... etc, all these are different drives)
3) They are serverside

If you select one drive (for example 2) it will load it up next time if you are on server, or in SP (depends on where you created it)
It saves to sets of files, in your data folder "WireFlash"

So somewhere there is a little choicebox that lets you pick one of your previously created hard drives, eh?

Nifty. Hats off to you and your series of amazing creations - namely the CPU, associated C compiler, associated wire Operating System and hard drive. I am always amazed at the things people do in Garry's mod! (Well, i say "In Garry's mod", I know you obviously didn't make the C compiler and script the CPU IN Garry's Mod, but i'm sure you know what i mean.)

I can port C compiler so it runs on CPU, it's written in same C dialect as the compiler compiles. If you wanna ._.
