A few Contraptions

[Gobo]

I'll be making a bunch of short YouTube videos showing off all the contraptions I've made over the years I've been playing GMod. Starting off, I've mainly focused on the Exp2/CPU/GPU stuff which you can see below. I've released the code to each of these contraptions, which can be found on www.crustycabbage.com/gmod.

I'll be adding to the list about once a week or so.

Edit: Updated the Snake Vector to work with the new Exp2 performance update, and updated the Vector Crusher to target more easily using the findInSphere method.

A basic automatic prop-crusher made with Exp2.



GPU PONG

I made this to experiment with the GPU mod. It was originally meant to be for two people, however, because of the sync issues, I converted it to one-player. The code is a bit naff, since I am still very new to the GPU mod, however it works as intended. (I should replace some of those returning jumps with 'ret' which I didn't know about at the time of writing)



Snake Vector

Make objects fly above your head in a circle, and also follow your cursor in a snake-like fashion when pressing crouch. I've found that my version of this popular Exp2 chip seems to be the least laggy compared to others I have seen.

That doesn't make any sense, and I didn't use Vector thrusters on any contraption.

These aren't my first contraptions, and I'd consider these pretty advanced. They're certainly not 'first contraptions' by any means.

In truth, I made mine before he made his. We play on the same server.
If you look at the code, they're completely different though.

I think the last one could be improved by not getting the aim entity, but making a sphere around where you aim, and search for players in it. That way you wouldn't need your mouse directly aiming at the player, but close to it.

That's a good idea, I'll change it when I have some time.

For the vector crusher, if i hold down ctrl on some one, but let go, it goes flying off in a random direction......solution?

You don't need to hold Ctrl, just tap it while aiming at a target.

Also, you triple posted, you may want to delete some of those!
