Didnt see it in the bugs list, so I thought I'd put it up. Is this confimed?

Yes it increases the "loading" times, because pre-creating render targets takes 4 to 5 seconds each, and the gpu lib pre creates like 5 screens on start. Maybe BP should decrease the initial value again.
So the so called communities solution is to delete wire gpu and go without a great wiremod component - sounds like a mingebag who couldn't figure out how wiremod works to me lol
Hopefully a REAL fix for this can be found and interesting info their Borsty![]()
1) Initial value won't be decreased, because you'll start complaining why screens keep flashing
2) It only affects client load time. If your computer sucks, and you timeout (default timeout is 3 minutes I think, and my GMOD loads in 2 minutes incl. connecting to server), just run "cl_timeout 1000", and live happily.
3) It's a HL2 problem, and removing GPULib will mess up client render if someone tries to spawn several other entities
I posted response to that message, but for some reason it's been 24 hours already, and they didn't process news queue.
I suggest you alternative fix, get a girlfriend, and this problem wont ever trouble you again.
Just to clarify, this extra time is only during first time any map EVER loads, all other times will be fast before you restart gmod again.
Are you 100% sure about that BP? I've been noticing it a lot lately and it happens every time in the servers with GPU, not just intermittently or "the first time any map EVER loads" :P
I don't doubt it's a HL2 problem.. but is there any way to work around it?
I'm 100% sure about that, and if that happens, it's most likely something else different causing some conflict.
At least I don't get any problems with no other addons installed - it loads for 2 minutes 20 seconds first time, and then for about 20 to 30 seconds
