Is anyone else having problems with the new "Wire User" tool?

I can't use it to interact with buttons or the bouncy ball SENT. Here's error log:

Error: [Scripted Entity Function] entities/gmod_wire_button/init.lua:19: Tried to access a NULL Entity!
Error: [Scripted Entity Function] entities/gmod_wire_button/init.lua:19: Tried to access a NULL Entity!
Error: [Scripted Entity Function] entities/sent_ball/init.lua:93: Tried to access a NULL Entity!
Error: [Scripted Entity Function] entities/sent_ball/init.lua:93: Tried to access a NULL Entity!

Update: I'm using the SVN version (revision 416?), the latest non-Beta version of GMod and yes, the beam is touching the button, bouncy ball etc....

it doesn't work with SENTS its a bug to do with how gmod SENTS handle being pressed as they search for who is pressing them and obviously can't find a player so causeing the error. It works fine with all map based objects which is what its intended for as why are you using a user to press a button?

I have the same issue he does, but the reason I want to use a button with the user is: I have a sliding hydraulic door, with a button on the inside, I want a keypad on the outside that is wired to the user. When the keypad tells the user to use the button the door will open, thus allowing a kind of 2 way switch. If you know of a different way of making a 2 way switch, please let me know.

place a toggle memory inside with its off value and on values set to the required hydraulic lengths for open and closed. Then wire the trigger input to an or gate. Then the inputs of that or gate attach your buttons/keypads(have to be non toggled). And the hydraulic length input goes to the toggle gate.
